Introduction
Situated
on the Hampshire/Surrey border, Alice Holt Forest is
an ancient forest famous for its oak trees. Forest Enterprise
have designated the area a Woodland Park. This means
that it is managed for the benefit of its visitors and
its wildlife, as well as being a working forest.
The
Forest Centre, near the car park, is an ideal place
to begin your exploration of Alice Holt. Well-marked
tracks will help you discover the forest's beauty. Bike's
can be hired and there are easy access trails for wheelchairs
or families with young children.
Several
events are run throughout the year at Alice Holt including
activities for children during school holidays. The
annual programme can be obtained on request or from
the Forest Centre.
